Do You Have a Great Quote?

Really good quotes have always been one of my faves. (Why didn't I list that in my "Interests" on my Blogger Profile?!) I'll share one of my all-time top ten and then you add yours in the Comments, OK?

Here's mine:

"One of the oldest human needs is having someone to wonder where you are when you don't come home at night." -- Margaret Mead, 1901-1978

  • Well, one I've always liked is this...

    "Eating people is wrong!"
    Michael Flanders and Donald Swann

  • Okay, here's another one that I've liked for awhile...I used to have it posted above my desk when I worked in a public library...

In short, residents are pledged to devote themselves to the duties of good citizenship ... They are bound to regard the entire life of their city as organic, to make an effort to unify it, and to protest against its over-differentiation.

    Jane Addams
    "Twenty Years at Hull House"

  • Cool -- two great quotes from Tena. Here's another of mine:

"Whatever you do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now." -- Goethe

    Anybody else?
